Can you find a method to capture 1080p despite your monitor's lower resolution?
Hi everyone. Sorry if it's not the ideal spot to ask, but I'm facing an issue.
I recently purchased a new PC for gaming and creating a YouTube channel. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds for a monitor right now, so I'll be using an older one until I can afford something better.
The problem is that my monitor has a resolution of 1680x1050, and I want to record in Full HD. Is there a way to capture video at 1080p even though my screen has a lower resolution? I understand it's not ideal to miss out on full HD while playing, but I'm curious if I can record in a higher resolution than what my monitor can display. My goal is to maintain good video quality.

What are the spces for your system (make/model of all installed components)? What application(s) will you use to record/capture video?
Yes, based on the GPU you own you can configure it to utilize a greater resolution than your display supports, Nvidia refers to this as dynamic super resolution, while AMD likely has a comparable feature.
Can you find a method to increase the game's resolution beyond your monitor's capabilities?

Sure, I'll adjust the wording while keeping the original meaning and tone intact.
