Hi guys
my spec:
CPU: i7-3770
RAM: 16gb ddr3 1600 (2*8gb dual ch)
Giga B75b3
RX 580 8gb xfx gts
Win 11 pro 64bit
I tried these three games with Msi afterburner, and the CPU usage never goes above 10% even when the graphics card is at full capacity. The only issue I noticed was with Snowrunner on ultra settings – there’s heavy frame loss and lag.
Resident 4 remake High setting (6.47 gb vram usage) FSR2 Quality : FPS 40 - 60
Red Dead 2 high (ultra) FSR2 Quality : 45 - 60
Snowrunner ultra and high test : very lag and fps max 35 ???
In the three games I played, CPU usage stays at a maximum of 10%
help me

Nothing can be done to improve performance. Your GPU is operating at full capacity, allowing the CPU to idle, but you won’t see further gains without a more powerful GPU. Reducing graphics resolution and tweaking settings offers limited benefits. Ideally, you’d replace the entire system, but expecting an old CPU to match a newer GPU is unrealistic. You might consider purchasing a model like the RX6600—it’s a significant upgrade over the RX580 and currently offers good value. You can also look into used options.

The videos I watch on YouTube didn't face these issues with the same CPU and graphics. Might it be related to Windows 11?

It seems uncertain about the situation, but if your GPU is fully utilized and boosting clocks are active, CPU usage won't be a major factor in gaming since it won't be limiting performance. RDR2 and Snowrunner fit well on that setup; I've played Showrunner on an FX8120 with 5ghz and a GTX 780ti, which matches what you'd expect in less demanding environments.

Consider downloading the AMD drivers and DDU, disconnecting from the internet, removing the Ethernet cable or disabling Wi-Fi, booting in safe mode, running DDU to remove the AMD drivers, then restarting in normal mode and reinstalling the drivers. After that, reconnecting to the internet should allow you to try again.

Since you're using Windows 11, it's unlikely you'll receive updates for this version—it's unsupported. You might want to revert to Windows 10, though it may not significantly improve your experience.

Building a system or purchasing a used one could be more cost-effective. It's better to upgrade rather than rely on the latest hardware for smooth gameplay. Don't need the newest components; an i7 3770 to a Ryzen 5 2600 with a compatible motherboard is sufficient for native Windows 11 support.

Good luck!

My Windows 11 version 22631.3672 (23H2) is running smoothly. I’m not experiencing frame drops or lag even when FSR2 is disabled. Earlier, my system had 8 gigabytes of RAM, and the BIOS set the graphics key to mine, allowing me to play Snowrunner at high-ultra settings without issues.
