I checked online and found that online play is possible. I attempted to launch Far Cry 1 using my new Xbox Series X controller, but it didn’t work. It seems the game might not be compatible with the latest controller drivers, though I’m not sure if it’s just driver issues or something else. Windows handles Xbox controllers differently, but I’m still unsure why it’s not detecting the device properly.

In Far Cry 1, I recall how terrible the voice acting was, like "my name is Jack Carver." It's incredible how six games came from it. Mostly it felt like a tech demo.

It's unclear why it isn't detecting it, but there are options to try if the game doesn't recognize it.

Xpadder is the name people often find when searching for recommendations, but it's hard to tell which sites are trustworthy and which might be misleading.
