Can you design a PC for playing strategy games?
I want to assemble a gaming PC suited for smooth play of strategy and construction simulation games (like Civ 6, Anno, Frostpunk). Aiming for around 60 fps with high settings—my cards don’t usually require extreme performance. I have a UWQHD monitor at 100 Hz.
So far, I’ve played triple A titles on the PS5, so I feel I don’t need top-tier settings.
This build would be ideal for games that are more comfortable to control with a mouse and keyboard (perhaps Baldur’s Gate 3).
I’ve already started putting it together and am close to purchasing it (RGB lighting isn’t a priority).

I’d appreciate some final thoughts from the community before I proceed.
Also, I’d like to avoid upgrading the PC for another 4–5 years.
Here are a few ideas for the mobo:

12 phase VRM design, superior to the Pro RS
