I believe you're encountering messages that don't match your expectations. Before campy's comment, I reviewed all the posts in this thread and found none suggesting it wasn't a gaming PC. One person mentioned it wasn't up to today's standards, but they still confirmed it was a gaming PC without labeling it as bad.

My initial gaming computer was a mid-2009 MacBook. It struggled with gameplay, but that was the only thing I needed.

You're right about the benchmarks, but asking about gaming performance isn't the same as personal opinion. It's not about getting a higher score, but understanding what the device is suited for.
