Can the RAM operate at 1.4 volts?
Hi good evening, I purchased the FF3D532G6000HC30DC01 RAM (6000 at cl30) and the MSI PRO B650-S WIFI. After checking EXPO 1 and 2, I discovered EXPO 1 isn’t stable during Memtest86 tests (346 errors overall). Expo 2 worked but ran at a high CAS value of 40. When using BIOS “Memory Test It”, the best stable result was 6000 with CAS 40-40-40-86 at 1.4V, though it runs at 1.35V. I’m curious if it’s feasible to operate it at 1.4V without issues in the long term. Thanks in advance.
Does the FF3D532G6000HC30DC01 come with AMD-specific EXPO configurations in the SPD or standard Intel XMP profiles? The review highlights: "The TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB (FF3D532G6000HC30DC01) RAM includes the Intel XMP 3.0 profile when operating at an effective frequency of 6000 MHz and using 30-36-36-76 timings." It notes that stable overclocking on AMD systems without dedicated EXPO settings in SPD is often challenging, as XMP and EXPO timings can vary. The author suggests adjusting EXPO1 and fine-tuning clock cycles to balance performance and stability. Additionally, running the RAM at 1.40V may impact longevity, so caution is advised for long-term use.
