I recently purchased a GT1030 and set it up on my PC. Initially, when I powered it on and ran dxdiag, it displayed "Display 1" and "Display 2," with Display 1 showing my GT1030 and Display 2 showing my Radeon Vega 3. I considered using a dual monitor since the Vega 3 was detected, but after updating Windows, Display 2 disappeared from dxdiag. I’m wondering if there’s a way to reactivate the Vega 3 in BIOS or through another method. My GT1030 has HDMI and DVI ports, but both monitors use HDMI and I don’t have a converter. My system specs include an MSI A320M-A Pro Max, AMD Athlon 200GE, and a KINGSTON HYPERX FURY DDR4 4GB at 2666MHz. There’s an "Integrated Graphics" option in BIOS, and I tried changing it to "PEG," then set it to "Force." After restarting, Display 2 still isn’t visible in dxdiag.

It's true. The term you're looking for changes depending on the BIOS settings, often indicated by Integrated Graphics.

yes i just found that. there's "Integrated Graphics" menu on my BIOS and there's the option called "Initiate Graphic Adapter" and it was set on IGD when i saw it the first time so i try to change it to "PEG". then there's a new menu below that (i forgot the sentence) and it was set to "Force" (i didnt change this because i thought it would force my IGP to run) then i restarted my PC, but it still not showing the Display 2 on my dxdiag.

I’m checking for some YouTube tips, but the video mentions a "Dual Monitor" setting in his BIOS that isn’t visible in mine.

I was thinking about purchasing one if I can't find the answer until tomorrow, but perhaps another option exists so I don't have to buy it.

Adjust the BIOS settings and attempt to launch Device Manager. Choose the component name, press Actions, and scan for any hardware updates. Results aren't guaranteed.

Companies rarely keep BIOS configurations in detail, making it hard to get much beyond general searches. Still, I haven't tested this on an AMD setup—I've only used it with Intel chips. I recommend purchasing one. Pairing the iGPU with a separate dedicated GPU can cause issues, since some programs prefer the dedicated one by default. It's simpler to connect everything through the dedicated GPU.

Also check Device Manager to confirm both IGP and GPU appear under Display Adapters.

It seems I need to purchase a DVI to HDMI converter. The device listed as Radeon Vega 3 is not visible, likely because I enabled the "show hidden devices" setting. That’s why it isn’t being detected.
