Hello,
According to the title, I'm unable to overclock my i7-6700k CPU.
I'm using an ASUS B150M-C motherboard and Corsair H115i liquid cooling.
When attempting to increase the CPU clock ratio, it stops at 4.2.
Additionally, I can't enable X.M.P.

the board doesn't allow overclocking. although it lists features that might assist with it, you can't actually perform overclocking on the board, especially with the multiplier. i think the base clock would function, but it's often difficult to reach that level.

The only method to Overclock is to adjust MOBO.

Sadly yes. You need a Z170 chipset motherboard to achieve good overclocking with the multiplier. You should also look for one with a solid power delivery system.

As mentioned,
Even with a multiplier enabled, such as the i7-6700k CPU you possess, Naminuksas has a chance.
It depends on three factors to secure a stable and effective overclocking speed, or to push the CPU to its peak performance.
Overclocking can provide this boost.
The primary factor is the CPU itself.
The second is the motherboard you own, as well as the chipset it contains.
And the third is effective CPU cooling, such as aftermarket solutions for the CPU beyond the standard Intel cooler.
Some enthusiasts experiment with these when trying to achieve a strong overclock for K series Intel CPUs.
For optimal results, you should opt for a high-quality, costly motherboard starting around £100 or more, paired with the best chipset that matches your CPU model or its Intel generation.
The cooling system for your CPU is excellent.
It’s the motherboard that ultimately limits your progress, Naminukas.
