Hi.
I'm checking if anyone has any insights or knows whether my setup (GTX 1070TI, I5 8600K, 16GB RAM) can support a 144hz 1080p display. If not, what upgrades should I think about?
Also, just a note—I'll be playing Rainbow Six Siege and Titanfall 2, so that's why I'm asking.

I believe you're significantly overestimating your PC's capabilities, but it can handle that without any issues.

If you don't already have a 1080p 144hz screen, your PC is suitable for it even after upgrading to 5ghz. Alternatively, you could opt for a 1440p 144hz display or a 1440p ultra-wide model without any problems. For heavy esports gaming, a 1080p 240hz display might be more appropriate.

I would choose 1440p and Gysnc. 144Hz looks good, but Gsync is the top choice.

In just a few milliseconds, it's almost impossible to notice anything.
It varies based on the games and your CPU. I'm using a 4790k and a 980 Ti, which works similarly to a 1070, and my 144hz 1440p screen is perfect.

It would be best to have a free-sync screen now since it's more affordable and works adequately.
