Can Intel non K CPU be boosted to 4ghz
It seems from the bios there might be a reference to mce or something similar. I’m certain about my son’s i7 7700 which operates at 4 ghz, and his motherboard is quite basic with no overclocking options. My Z390 board also has it, but I had to turn it off because the air cooler wasn’t sufficient and it ran hot. I’m looking for more info on the motherboard you’re using—just not just the Z77 model. My system uses a 2390 Aorus Ultra.
My Xeon is Turbo 1 core, Max 3.6Ghz (Base 3.2Ghz), but after some adjustments I've increased all cores to 3.6Ghz on my Z97 board.
Intel boost is what you're after. I just achieved it. The multicore improvement might assist. I'm uncertain because the two choices aren't always offered. However, as sizzling mentioned, it's likely most motherboards include this feature. Which one should you choose?
