Can I say my CPU is burning?
So I own an R5 3600 and a B450M steel legend... and ended up in some trouble.
I was sending my friend an R5 3600 because he needed a strong CPU for about a week, and mine was available. He agreed to pay me.
I was conducting some undervoltage tests on my motherboard when I accidentally adjusted the voltage setting to 100 instead of the recommended 1.00. There wasn’t a core voltage setting—it was in the AMD CBS configuration. After that, my PC didn’t show anything, so I reset the CMOS and it started displaying the ASRock logo again, entering the BIOS.
I couldn’t test it before sending it to my friend since the cooler was already in the box and I was in a rush. Once I cleared the CMOS, the system heated up normally, but I wasn’t sure what would happen next. I’m a bit concerned.
If your friend says you sent him a dead CPU, maybe we can figure it out. It seems like everything looks okay.
