Hello, I previously made YouTube videos for Rainbow Six Siege and recorded them in good quality using shadow play since the app didn’t work well. Over the last three months I’ve faced a problem where every five seconds I watch the clips, the video skips about three seconds of footage. The timestamps also jump by seconds. I’ve tried fixing it but now suspect the platform has changed and my hardware might not handle recording and playback properly. I’m asking whether my setup is still capable enough to keep going. My system details: Processor – Intel Core i5-4460 @3.20 GHz; RAM – 8 GB; OS – 64-bit Windows 7; Graphics – GTX 1060 (6GB); Drivers – all up to date.

OBS isn't supported, and it doesn't allow recording other games.

NVENC encoding shifts processing to your GPU, making it faster compared to CPU-heavy H.264.

I've seen videos claiming that particular encoder was superior—actually the sole reason I moved from Radeon to Nvidia. Now I'm surprised it performs just as well. This makes me confused since I know it utilizes the GPU. If you'd like to discuss my OBS settings (and I'm not very knowledgeable on this), my Discord is Jarod#4024, or you can reply here instead.
