Hey, is there a real way to keep my edited video as an mp4 file after using the full processing feature of VirtualDub? I've looked at a few tricks before, and they might have been too tricky for me.

You can only save an mp4 file without re-encoding it if you cut on special frames called i-frames that hold complete info about that chunk of video. If you cut anywhere else, add filters, or do anything else, you will have to re-code at least part of the video. So if you cut between i-frames and work only on that piece, you'll only have to re-code it and then add it back to the rest later, as long as you don't change dimensions or quality or something like that.
