Can I run two GPU overclocking programs at the same time?
Hey, I just got my first PC and needed some tips. I'm using the Zotac 3080 Amp holo and downloaded the firestorm app to tweak RGB and fan settings. It turns out firestorm isn't saving custom fan curves. I'm considering installing MSI Afterburner. My questions are: Can I install both at once but only use one? Firestorm for RGB and Afterburner for GPU control. Also, if I remove firestorm, will my RGB settings revert to defaults? Thanks, even if this is super basic advice.
My prediction is it hinges on how properly they're set up. I used Afterburner and Radeon Settings, both overclocking tools, and they functioned adequately, though adjustments from one didn't always sync with the other. I chose to stop using Afterburner because it wasn't worth the complications. Also, Afterburner includes an 'active' feature that keeps monitoring fan speed and adjusting if it drifts from your settings, which can cause unusual fan behavior. This might explain why some people suggest installing AMD video drivers only for better control.

You may need to try removing the Firestorm app to check if the RGB settings remain intact. It’s not difficult to reinstall if that doesn’t work.
