Hey, does turning up the speed on my monitor to 144 hz hurt my eyes or make things blurry? Can I just push it even faster without breaking anything?

It's pretty safe, because nothing gets broken if you don't do anything wrong. It only works for a certain time on the screen, but nobody knows exactly when that happens or how long it lasts. You might get 10hz extra, so most people probably won't notice any change at all.

It's pretty safe because there isn't much to break, and the monitor is just a screen, not your brain. So nobody can really fix it once they've done their part. In reality, you might get another 10Hz boost, but that change will likely be too small to notice at all.
