I'm unsure if I'm in the correct forum, but I just started playing GTA V on Xbox 360 again. I'm thinking about purchasing it for PC. I'm worried about compatibility. The site requirements say I can't run any games, and the debate page doesn't list my specs. My system has an AMD A6-3600 CPU, a 2.1 GHz quad-core GPU, 2GB RAM, 64-bit Windows OS. If it won't work without mods, could you point me to some alternatives?

Likely not. It's hard to ignore the impact shadows have.

It seems like the system might struggle significantly, possibly crashing or freezing. You’ll need to lower all settings to the bare minimum. Apologies for the edit—this should run at 1080p with low quality but I’m uncertain about that. I just checked a test using a 1GB GPU.

I understand how to turn off shadows. A video by LowSpecGamer showed you how to achieve this on an older computer.

I focus on the performance at 720p and 1080p, especially the frame rates and how smooth it feels.

I'll let you know once I start downloading it. My connection isn't great.

My ultrabook features an Intel i7 5500U processor (2.4GHz), 8GB of RAM, and a GeForce 940M graphics card. I was able to play GTA V reasonably smoothly on standard settings, often reaching around 40 FPS or higher. While I favor my desktop for optimal performance, it serves as a decent workaround when traveling to use my laptop. Removing all shadows could potentially improve the experience.
