Can I put more storage on my old HP laptop?
Hi everyone, I have an HP 15s-du1114TU laptop and I want to add another SSD because my computer is really slow right now. But there are only one SATA slot and no M.2 slots on the board. Can I use that circled red slot in this picture to connect an M.2 drive via a SATA port? The motherboard says Type 1 ProductConfigd/85F5(HP) in SystemInfo. Basically, do you have something like below but for M.2 to SATA?
Welcome to the forums! Check out this video link: https://youtu.be/y7TnmV15dNI?t=251 I had to jump through a lot of hoops to find it. You should know there isn't room for more storage in your laptop right now. But you can just swap out the old hard drive for a smaller, faster SSD called a 2.5" SSD.
