Can I purchase a region-locked title?
Recently Red Dead Redemption 2 was released for PC. I use the Rockstar Games Launcher and I'm from North Macedonia. I tried preordering the game but it wasn't visible. When I switched my VPN on and connected to the USA, the game appeared in the Rockstar Games Launcher. I contacted Rockstar Games, who mentioned they didn’t know why it wasn’t showing and suggested it might be region-locked. They also said it doesn’t seem to be locked based on their search. I’m wondering if buying the game with a VPN active in the USA would allow me to play it on my internet connection from North Macedonia. I really want the game! Thanks!
It seems likely it will be fixed prior to release, rather than needing a pre-order. Just keep an eye on things.
