Considering purchasing a budget-friendly PC for my brother, as his current one is failing; I’m evaluating this inexpensive option. The operating system is Windows 10 Home. It features an Intel Pentium Quad Core J5005D processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with 4 cores and 4MB of SmartCache. Memory capacity is 8GB DDR4 2400MHz. Storage consists of a 1TB hard drive operating at 5400 rpm, and it includes an 8X DVD+/-RW optical drive alongside integrated Intel UHD Graphics 605. I’m concerned about the processor's speed of 1.5 GHz and its potential limitations for gaming performance.

I experience similar anxieties. I previously possessed an Intel Core i3-5005 and 8GB of DDR4 RAM, achieving approximately 75 frames per second on certain configurations with some settings disabled and VSync enabled. If it’s a desktop computer, consider upgrading the CPU (verifying motherboard compatibility) or attempting to overclock it to at least 2.2 GHz. Its maximum achievable speed is 2.8 GHz, so aim for the highest possible value.

When playing Minecraft, do you modify the processor's speed settings, or do you not?
