Hello,
Could you help me with overclocking my Xeon E3 1231 v3? I have an ASUS Vanguard-B855 motherboard and 8 gigabytes of Ripjaws X RAM. My CPU cooler is NH-U12S. Will it be enough for some overclocking?
Thanks a lot,
Lore

I believed they were secured CPUs... You could possibly adjust the boost clock at most...

You really can't use a xeon processor. Depending on your motherboard, you might be able to run it at its maximum turbo frequency across all four cores. To achieve this, you need to open the BIOS and adjust the multiplier from 34 to 38. Some newer boards only allow changing it to 36.
