No, you cannot overclock this i5 450M. It is not a K processor (unlocked allowing overclocking).
What upgrades would be best? You should consider replacing the GPU or checking if your CPU can be upgraded depending on your laptop model.

Does it look like a laptop or a compact personal computer? That affects what upgrades are possible.

No, you should not overclock your i5 450M because it is not a K processor (unlocked which allows overclocking).
What upgrades are recommended?
If you're using a laptop, consider what make and model you have—some allow changing the video card, letting you swap in different graphics.

where aren't the first generation i3s capable of overclocking at higher frequencies even though their multipliers are fixed? It's probably not possible to find such settings in the laptop's BIOS.

The Paladin:
question:
"can i overclock my i5 450M "
Answer : No, you shouldn't, it isn't a K processor (unlocked which allows overclocking)

Question:
"what do you think i should upgrade mu cpu or my gpu"
Answers:
1. The i5-450M uses a PGA988 socket, typically found in laptops, so upgrading is not possible.
2. If you're using a laptop, the make and model might let you swap in different video cards as replacements. It's usually a standard PC setup I've seen before.
Actually, if you're into gaming and love it, I can suggest a budget-friendly setup for you. Thanks for your time!

If it's a desktop, it likely uses an i5-450M processor, which is a mobile or laptop CPU. Don't worry about the bad news. What is the make and model of your desktop?

I don't really know, but I can help you find out if you need to check those details.
