I use an HP Slim-line desktop with an AMD A8-7410 APU and AMD Radeon R5 Graphics running at 2.20 GHz. My storage capacity is 4 gigabytes.

You may be able to boost the GPU cores via AMD overdrive, but I question your chances of significantly improving the CPU, particularly on an OEM board. I’m aware that APUs perform well with the highest available memory, so achieving maximum RAM in two channels could enhance performance. Another point to consider is whether the slim desktop can manage the additional heat and if the included smaller PSU can support the extra power consumption.

You might be able to boost the GPU cores with AMD overdrive, but I’m skeptical about significantly increasing the CPU performance, particularly on an OEM board. I’m aware that APUs perform well with the highest available memory, so if you can install the maximum RAM your board supports in dual channels, you’ll likely see a noticeable improvement.

Consider also whether the slim desktop can manage the additional heat and if the included smaller PSU can handle the extra power consumption.

I wouldn't be concerned about it. Actually, apus aren't ideal for overclocking either. You might achieve higher performance by increasing the RAM and replacing the HDD with an SSD.
