Hi guys,
I have a 4k screen at https://www.benq.com/en-me/monitor/gamin...tions.html.
My new laptop only supports HDMI 1.4 and can't handle 4k/60hz.
It does have Thunderbolt 4.0 with DisplayPort.
I want to connect the 4k screen, keyboard/mouse, a powered USB speaker, and Ethernet on the same port.
Is this possible? I’m unsure if the hub needs DP or HDMI 2.0 ports.
I’d prefer something affordable, under 100 USD.
Thanks!

When you scroll slightly toward the end of the linked page for the laptop purchase, you'll see this device; it helps connect your peripherals and display as needed.

Thanks for the prompt response!
Regarding the cheaper model with only an HDMI port, it seems the HDMI in the hub may not support HDMI 2.0, so you'd need to use DisplayPort.
As for using DP, there might be another reason to choose it depending on your device compatibility.

If only that's what you're after, a more affordable alternative would be using a basic Thunderbolt-to-DisplayPort cable to link your new laptop with your monitor.

Sorry for the confusion, I didn't mean just HDMI and nothing else. I was thinking about a USB hub with HDMI, not just DisplayPort, but with other ports too.
