Hello everyone,
I have a query regarding whether I can overclock my motherboard. I intend to upgrade my CPU to an i7 2600k and install an Hyper-212 EVO. I want to be aware of any compatibility issues. I searched for overclocking guides and tutorials for my motherboard, but found very few results. My current PC specifications are: ECS H61H2-M2 (V1.0) motherboard, Corsair CS550M, 16 GB HyperX RAM, GTX 1050 with 2 GB OC, i3 3220 at 3.30 GHz. My motherboard appears to have the latest BIOS update. I checked the BIOS setup for CPU OverClocking options, but when attempting to change the frequency it wouldn’t allow it.
I found some links here:

Please let me know if this is related to my i3 3220 CPU, which isn’t a K version. If I can’t overclock via BIOS, what programs should I consider and which would be the best?
Thank you in advance!

this device doesn't allow overclocking. i discovered this after checking some information, and it seems the p67, z68, z77 sockets can be overclocked.

The motherboard allows for overclocking, while the 2600k model can also be overclocked. The 3220 cannot be overclocked, which is why it isn't functioning properly.
