Hello/bonjour...
Please forgive me if my English isn't quite perfect. I come from the Celine Dion part of Canada and am currently stationed in Southeast Asia. I would really like to say more.
I have an MSI GF65 THINUE 10 Canada version. I think it has an Intel i5 processor. Don’t ask me about the generation—just a Nvidia 3060. I upgraded the RAM to 16 GB and added another 2 TB M.2 or NVMe card. I’m not sure what the difference is.
My question is this: I was told once you can’t modify or upgrade the GPU or CPU... does that still apply to this gaming laptop?
I’m a big fan of Fallout—Fallout 4 in particular. There’s no lag at all. Starfield is fine, although it’s not the same world. Same makers, but it plays well. Except when loading new worlds or talking to NPCs... I could upgrade the RAM to 64 GB, but will that really be enough for Fallout 5? Or can I swap the CPU for something compatible?
The GPU is a concern too. I think I could get a GPU dock and connect it using duct tape (this is Quebec humor). But the CPU—definitely I can take it to a PC shop that can desolder it and install something like an i9. I’m not sure what I’d get... honestly, I don’t follow Intel innovations much. I’m an AMD guy and proud of it.
If you want me to run a system listing using CPU-X or one of those tools to show all my specs, just let me know. I use both Windows 10 and Linux.
Thank you and merci.

When examining the image of your laptop's motherboard, it becomes clear that the CPU, GPU, and its VRAM are permanently attached. Therefore, upgrading them isn't possible.
