I have an alarm coming on randomly inside my computer that keeps stopping me from using it, so I'm wondering if there is any special software that can tell me where the problem is. I tried looking in the "Sounds" section and set the default to nothing, but I still don't know why or where this sound is coming from. Since I am a new user of Windows 11, I haven't learned about all its problems yet. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks! Operating System: Windows 11 Home 64-bit CPU: AMD K19 RAM: 15GB Motherboard: Micro-Star International Co. Ltd. PRO B650-P WIFI (MS-7D78) Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (Gigabyte) Storage: KINGSTON SNV2S1000G, Western Digital WD Elements, and a USB device Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio EDITED TO ADD: I finally figured out the culprit! It was this stand-alone cd/dvd player that I had plugged into the top USB port of my rig. When I unplugged it, reset the "Windows sound" settings to default, and let the player stay unplugged with no sound coming out, the beeping stopped completely too. Just to make sure I knew I was right, I plugged it back in again without changing anything. Suddenly the beeps started going up and down again! I just wanted to update this post so we don't keep going over and over about it. Thank you everyone for reading!
