Can I fit the entire system into a single RAM slot if the CPU supports up to 8Gb of memory?
I own a Dell Inspiron 11 3168 equipped with an Intel® Pentium® Processor N3710, featuring up to 8GB of RAM. The motherboard has only one RAM slot and came with a 4GB stick. I discovered an 8GB memory module on amazon, thinking it might fit, but I sought additional confirmation.
I think there is a version of this where the memory is soldered in, I popped the back off and mine is removable.
I might take the gamble on this.
Just because it might fit in the slot, it doesn't guarantee compatibility. These Dells have particular requirements for memory settings and timing.
