Can you increase the speed of the Intel Core i7 6700? I just found out from a Windows update that the BIOS doesn't let you overclock non-K processors.

It's not advisable unless you use a modified BIOS, which isn't suggested. Overclocking isn't possible without it. Be aware that doing so will cancel your warranty, and any damage will require purchasing a replacement CPU.
