I don't see any linked threads here, so I opened this article. I'm checking if anyone has bought the newest models and which one suits an M4 Mac best.

Macs aren't compatible with Nvidia GPUs, no exceptions. No drivers available. There are options to connect an external GPU with an AMD chip inside a Mac, but it becomes tricky, costly, and doesn’t seem worthwhile. An eGPU essentially means you’re paying 75% of the cost for half the performance. If your graphics workload isn’t handled by your current M4 Mac, it’s better to upgrade or build a dedicated system.

I don't think the M series Macs have eGPU/dGPU support.
