I've heard it's possible, though there are concerns about H97 motherboards not being suitable for overclocking and non-K processors not performing well. If you need more details, I have the ASRock fatality H97 killer motherboard.

Yes, if you do blank, it should be 100 base but you can try 102-103 if it doesn't crash your system
