Sometimes in programs like cpu-z it will be called Cpu #0 #1 #2 #3, meaning even though the RAM is in the 2nd and 4th physical slots away from the CPU, cpu-z will refer to it as dimm #1 and dimm #3. Asus suggests using slots 2 and 4 for optimal dual performance, which is a reliable choice for most modern motherboards.
