Is there a way to use a smartphone to display a speed counter alongside the current date, especially since you don’t have built-in counters on your bike?

Is it captured yet? Probably not. It would need special tools to examine the surroundings and calculate speed. While recording, maybe some info could be pulled from GPS data.

The displayed speed appears to be real-time, though it might actually come from a car's odometer.

An OBDII sensor can transmit data to a mobile device.
Later, synchronize with the video file.

When using a smartphone, the readings consistently display 0 km/h
I toggled airplane mode on and off. With Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS active, the speed remains at 0 km/h.
The Measurement tools Pro - protractor&speed camera 1.0 does not display distance during measurement. The phone’s camera and camcorder functions are fully operational.

Do the apps being discussed have permission to retrieve GPS information? Have you verified with a mapping application that the device is correctly obtaining updated location data?
