I completed some cleaning and discovered the ideal spot for my laptop, though it’s right next to a power strip I switch on and off daily. I’m a bit worried but I appreciate your understanding. Is it okay? Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

Everything looks good. If nothing is connected or the unit is turned off, there wouldn't be any current flowing through it (power strip). You might worry about nearby electronics being affected by the "power," but since your device is probably protected from electromagnetic interference, that shouldn't be an issue. It's unclear how well the power strip blocks emissions, but your laptop likely has some protection in place.
