I've been wondering if it's feasible to assemble your own gaming laptop. To achieve this, we'll require the components listed below (sorry if I forget anything):
*Mobile processor
*Mobile GPU
*Storage (SSD, NVME)
*ram
*Laptop case
*Laptop monitor
We understand that a desktop built with parts similar to those in a laptop runs faster and more smoothly, but some still choose the mobile option for flexibility, capacity, and portability. Is it possible to construct your own laptop? Where can we source the parts and do you have a detailed build guide?

You'll need to purchase components tailored for a particular laptop shell, as they are all designed specifically for the internal parts. Ultimately, you'll end up with a unique laptop built just for that shell. You can't simply take a standard board and fit it into any case. Each laptop requires its own custom board with the CPU and a dedicated heatsink, perfectly matched to that shell. The screw holes and internal components are all precisely positioned for this specific model.

They all work together in a similar way. There isn't a fixed size or placement like with ATX setups and desktops. Drives and RAM can be swapped around...that's the main point.

G'dday.
Right now, it's really hard to assemble your own laptop from different parts. Some stores let you a lot of freedom in choosing the components. I'm linking this site (because we all know only Aussies know best 😏).
customized laptops
You can pick different graphics cards, etc.
