Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to connect remotely to my rackmount gaming PC that’s tucked away in a closet across the house. I’ve checked out KVM setups and other options, but they only handle 4K at 60Hz. I’m planning to upgrade to a 4K monitor at 144Hz and wondered if going up to 100Hz is still possible. I really liked the original design from around 2016, but if it has to stay in my room, I’m okay with that.

You could try parsec based on your connection speed

It also handles speeds as high as 240 frames per second.

I just verified it works at 60 but can handle up to 240fps. No issues at all.

You should probably get a client for the "parsec gaming server." Your Raspberry Pi 4 with 2GB RAM might work, but performance could be limited.

Not quite right. Unless you're handling 40 or 100GbE in your home, the required speed is quite substantial. Calculating it: 4K equals 3840 by 2160 by 32, at 100FPS that's 3840 x 2160 x 32 x 100. That means you're facing about 26.5 billion bits per second for the data to move. Simply put, 40GbE wouldn't suffice.

It's frustrating. At least I managed to capture some useful networking formulas Tongue. Appreciate your assistance.
