The issue is quite unusual. The WebCam only functions after a restart or sleep. Once it stops, the device disappears from DeviceManager. I've tried several solutions: checking the forum link, adjusting PowerManagement settings, verifying BIOS status, updating drivers, and even modifying registry entries. No tab exists in Camera properties for power management. There are no physical switches for the camera in this layout. A workaround involved creating a registry record, but it didn't resolve the problem. I'm seeking further advice since I'm unsure what to do next.

It could be that the camera module is damaged. That’s possible. Probably just a small board with a camera part inside, linked via USB. You might be able to fix it yourself or get a replacement. Using a cheaper USB camera would be the simplest option.

It shouldn't function properly, right? If something breaks, it shouldn't work at all.

Relevant. I think I’m not fully aware of everything, but perhaps the issue arises after power-up or temperature changes? It could also stem from a software conflict or driver problem. You might attempt to remove all drivers and then restart to see if Windows can locate it independently. Updating the drivers or adjusting their order could also help. It usually works, though you can’t be certain.

It's a bit unusual, isn't it? The laptop is brand new (bought about two weeks ago), Windows was just installed, and the drivers are up to date. If I can't find a fix, I'll attempt another fresh installation; otherwise, I might have to send it in for service. Probably won't be before the new year. Any advice from others would be greatly appreciated.
