It's starting to pull from the initial load, I'm eager to test it.

My cousin purchased it and I just observed him testing it out. The game is functional overall, though the graphics settings are currently problematic. Any adjustments he makes cause texture loading failures and crashes multiple times.

He provided an initial performance overview for AW, noting it's quite good or significantly better than Ghosts. Keep these points in mind: 1) He managed to utilize the best configurations with just one Titan (SLI wasn't turned on). With the 970s and 980s this might not be as impactful, though you could face issues with a 750Ti or Radeon card. 2) He didn't test the multiplayer features, which are a major draw for the CoD series. 3) This isn't a complete review—he likely is withholding his criticisms until later.

Just watched the video, seems pretty decent so far. But I want some info on the performance with AMD cards as well as performance in multiplayer. Also, why the hell is it locked to 90 FOV? That's still really narrow if you use a 27'' monitor, I mean it's bearable but why would you put in the extra effort to lock it to 90 when you could just set it to 120 (which would basically be ideal for 99.9% of the people playing it).

My cousin has it and it performs perfectly on his GTX770 and his friend's GTX660 TI even with FXAA enabled. The main problem so far is with shadow cache using 2GB of VRAM, which causes crashes and bugs. You'll need at least 3GB for a stable run. Overall, it looks and runs well, offering many features and being a solid port, even better than Black Ops 2.

I included the AMD GPU note, that was a solid observation. It seems manageable at 90 FOV according to what I understand. This could be handled with a client-side fix if updates fall short. It’s intriguing given the stated hardware needs. Was the performance on the console identical to what was promised? I really enjoyed Black Ops 2 and remain hopeful about this title.

Same Black Ops 2 was enjoyable, though Ghosts felt too difficult for me. Advanced Warfare performs well overall, with the shadow cache feature taking some time to master. They also introduced auto aim for the controller on PC and a paint ball mode that displays bullet impact and replaces blood with color.

I think I'll need help from other players regarding performance on AMD cards, since benchmarks usually take time. How has this situation typically been? Have BLOPS 2 and other recent CODs performed well on AMD systems? I really wish they could just adjust the FOV via config files or fix it directly. Also, I've learned that mouse acceleration can't be disabled in streams now, which would be a big deal for me.
