Hi there. Your new PC looks powerful with that i7-12700k, RTX 3060 and 32GB DDR4. After five years on your old machine, you're right to check the performance. The bottleneck calculator shows a 20% CPU limit—whether that's a problem depends on what you're doing. If you're running demanding tasks like gaming or video editing, a 20% bottleneck might be noticeable but not catastrophic. If it's lighter workloads, it probably won't be an issue. Just keep an eye on how your system handles things and let me know if you notice any slowdowns!

They're completely unreliable.

These tools often provide poor results and can give false impressions. Your system should still function properly. Don’t stress about it.

The calculator is entirely incorrect; your system won’t be CPU constrained. You’re actually facing GPU limitations (this is ideal, it ensures the GPU operates at peak speed). Understanding bottlenecks can be confusing for most users, but I’m happy to elaborate further if needed. Bottlenecking isn’t a concern—it doesn’t damage any parts. The combination of 12700k and 3060 works well together, creating a balanced setup.

Hi there! It's normal to feel a bit unsure about PC components. The 20% Bottleneck XD is just one part of your system, so don't worry too much. You're doing great by asking questions!

They're just not reliable. A bottleneck isn't necessarily a problem. Your GPU probably won't force your CPU to overwork in most games. That's good because it means your GPU can run at full capacity. Upgrading later lets you use high-end settings without wasting power, which is also fine.

The 4090 faces a 20% performance limit due to a 7800X3D at 4K resolution. The 2990WX 2nd gen thread ripper seems like a suitable option. This gives you the essential details about them. Clearly, this information is misleading.
