You need a keystone for your setup, and you discovered two compatible options: Cat6 UTP and Cat6 FTP. Since your cable is UTP but the store only has the FTP module, pressing it onto the shielded FTP keystone might not work properly. Check if it’s compatible or consider using the UTP version directly. FTP resembles UTP cable but features a protective foil around its wire pairs, essentially a metallic plastic covering over them. When preparing these cables, align the insulation cuts at the same spot as PVC insulation, then arrange each wire into its proper slot. This ensures FTP and UTP are wired identically. Their manuals don’t mention any unique procedure for FTP. If you need confirmation, refer to the provided documents or page 7.

Choosing between FTP and UTP depends on your needs. Solid core copper wires are common and reliable, especially for permanent installations. Avoid CCA cables—those use aluminum cores with thin copper layers, increasing resistance and risking long cable issues.

Thank you! I just know that FTP usually is thicker cable so there is a thicker hole where you insert that cable and then if you insert a UTP cable to an FTP plug it might not be sitting tight and wiggle and eventually break or cause interference, that was my concern. Definitely not CCA. I did the mistake once and I really don't know how it's legal to sell these cables. It shouldn't. It's like a paper
