C State Disabled o/c non k cpu
C State Disabled o/c non k cpu
With C States turned off in the BIOS, does that prevent the computer from sleeping completely? I previously set the time to sleep after an hour in Windows, but when it actually goes to sleep it freezes when I try to wake it up. I have to perform a hard reset and unplug the power supply to successfully restart. Also, if overclocking non-K CPU models aren't supported, will that cause faster wear on the CPU or components because the PC stays fully clocked and powered at all times? I have a good Noctua cooler with temperatures around 30°C idle and 60°C under load while running Prime95.
Also, how do K Series CPUs handle C State and the sleep function? Do they work well for overclocking or is C State generally not recommended in this context?
