Hello,
I've been facing some unpredictable problems where opening a file or photo on the desktop causes the file explorer to freeze. After forcing a close, the PC restarts, but these issues still occur intermittently. Additionally, when I open a folder with many files on my desktop, the address bar in the file explorer shows a green loading indicator. If I try to open a file before it finishes loading, the explorer hangs or freezes, and I end up closing it from the taskbar. It seems like this happens even though I'm not using any USB drives—my main SSD is still working fine.

The device details are:
- Kioxia Exceria 1TB M2 NVME SSD, 1/4 full, only a few months old, light usage.
- Running Windows 11 Pro

I'm trying to figure out what's behind these problems and how to resolve them, possibly related to Windows File Explorer or the desktop environment.
Best,
B

What is the name of your drive model.
Verify drive condition using an SSD manufacturer-specific tool.

Thank you for the information. The downloaded file works well, showing full green health and normal temperatures. It seems there are no problems detected. Regarding your concerns about potential algorithmic bypasses or self-interest in the manufacturer's software, it’s possible but would require further investigation. For alternative solutions, you might consider using a third-party app or software to monitor your SSD. If you need help fixing the Windows-related window issues, let me know.
