Buying new laptop
Buying new laptop
Hello,
I need to purchase a new laptop for my father and after some searching I think I made the right choice.
I have a question though... during my research I came across a comment about the CPU of the laptop I selected, stating that it doesn't cause bottlenecks with the 3060.
Later, I looked up specifically on Google and found a confirmation, but only for a resolution of 2048x1152.
When I checked for 1080p, which is the suggested setting for the device, it mentioned that only about 75.9% of the GPU would be used!
My concern is whether switching to 1152p would solve the issue.
Also, on my computer I can use resolutions higher than 1080p (as supported by my monitor), could that work on a laptop too?
The laptop I want is: HP OMEN - I can't locate the exact model, it's not listed. I found a similar one but it had a 512GB SSD.
It has an Intel Core i7-11800H, 16.1", Full HD, 144Hz display, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and the RTX 3060 graphics card with 6GB. It runs Windows 11 Home.
Edit: I discovered the model 16-b0024nq.
Thank you very much for your assistance!
No, it depends on the game; nothing will always use GPU and CPU at 100% all the time.
