Hi, I'm new to networking and looked up a bit online. I need a Wi-Fi router for my mom that lets her stream smoothly without lag, even when family visits slow down the connection. My current setup is a MikroTik HAP AC Lite, which works but feels outdated and slower than what I expect. My brother uses an Ubiquiti device he doesn't know the model for, but it's also old. I'm looking for something around $200 or less with a range of about 100 meters, that’s enough for occasional gatherings in a small apartment. I just want something reliable but not too powerful. Thanks for any help!

How fast are you connecting to the internet? Your issue might not be the Wi-Fi, but the bandwidth.

The maximum speed achievable is 50Mb, yet testing with the Ubiquiti device showed no issues. The issue arises when using the cheaper router model.
