I understand the situation based on your experience. My symptoms closely match those reported in the New World 3090 case, starting with EVGA and later Gigabyte. The key signs are: - Sudden black screens while playing games, followed by maximum fan speed - Burning of the card when power is restored Similarities include both models drawing excessive power during gameplay, occurring in-game, and matching the described behavior. I suspect a power surge occurred—possibly from running Divinity Original Sin 2—which caused overcurrent protection to activate, leading to screen blackouts and overheating. When the system restarts, the protection lifts, allowing normal operation but risking damage. I’ve reached out to the retailer and plan to request a replacement or refund if possible. If I get a 30 series card again, I’ll adjust settings to limit power draw, cap FPS, and disable overclocking. For more insight, check JaysTwoCents' video on the topic—it explains it well.
