I've been using my PC for about 1½ years without any issues. However, yesterday I accidentally turned off the power button on the wall socket. Since then, my computer won't boot when I press the power button. I began troubleshooting by disconnecting components from the motherboard one by one, checking which parts would turn on and which wouldn't. The motherboard still displays RGB colors when connected to the PSU, and my RGB RAM, drives, and fans are active, but the CPU is missing. When I connect the 8-pin power cable to the CPU and the 24-pin connector to the motherboard, the PSU makes a clicking sound before nothing happens except the RGB lights on the motherboard cycling colors. I've switched to another PSU, but it doesn't work with the 24-pin connector or the 8-pin CPU power. I've noticed some people plugging the CPU power cable incorrectly into the motherboard, which has never caused problems for at least 1½ years. There are no signs of overheating, smoke, fire, blown components, or any visible damage on the motherboard. I'm having trouble figuring out what's causing this issue. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600X, an Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card, 10GB RAM, 32GB DDR4-3200MHz (2x16GB), and an ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E motherboard with Wi-Fi. The PSU is an ASUS ROG STRIX 850G running Windows 11 64-bit.
