You're looking for advice on the best GPU pairing for your needs. I was considering the 5600x, but now you're thinking about the 5700x and its compatibility with other components like the 6800xt. You also want to know if it can handle CPU-heavy games well. Since you don't have a budget for the 5800x3d, let me help you decide.

5700x satisfies 6950xt well, so no problem with 6800xt.

if you're considering a new CPU, the 5700x is a solid choice. I already own it, and with the 4070 super it performs adequately at 2k. depending on your location and usage, the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X could offer better value, especially for games that benefit from extra cores. it's generally more affordable than the 5800x3d. this is essentially the last CPU I own; anything pricier doesn't seem worth the upgrade.
