Hello,
I’m searching for a PC configuration suitable for 2K gaming at 60 FPS, future-proofing for 4K video editing and music production. I primarily use Cubase and work with extensive sound libraries, so minimizing latency is crucial.

My budget is €1200, excluding SSD and GPU (I’ll purchase the GPU later). My current setup—i5-9600K, 16GB RAM, Radeon 580—is limiting me, as it’s preventing proper performance. I mainly use an LG C1 TV and occasionally an AOC 2K monitor. I don’t have a preference between AMD and Intel, only performance matters.

A suggestion was shared:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X (~€450)
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI (~€250)
- RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 32GB (2x16) DDR5-6000 CL30 (~€180)
- Cooling: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.White (~€100)
- Case: Fractal Design Define 7 White (~€150)
- Power Supply: MSI MAG A850GL PCIe5 White 850W 80+ Gold (~€150)

I’m also planning to add a 2TB SSD later, and I’d appreciate any advice on quiet operation—ideally a silent case. If possible, the build should accommodate future GPUs without extra cost for looks. A fully white design would be nice, but aesthetics aren’t my main concern.

What are your thoughts on this setup?
Have a great day!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! It's recommended to format your thread with the information you received here; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice*. Initially, it's important to acknowledge where respect is expected—this adaptation comes from the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* post. I developed it since many users are currently seeking upgrade guidance both on this site and in the CPU forums, and I believe... forums. the community can offer helpful ideas. You've shared your budget and preferences, but we'll also need to know your location, as most users are based in the USA. I also prefer a very quiet PC, ideally with a silent case. Noise levels are personal, just like design choices. In theory, the build you described is solid. Have you explored Be Quiet!'s case options? They provide white cases.
