i own a complete UNIFI setup and i understand there are more affordable alternatives, but i prefer mine. currently i use an ER4 router (edgerouter) and run the controller on my server, which i disliked. the ER4 works well but is slow, so i recently got a budget-friendly pro model. i need to transfer the controller to this new device. should i simply delete all licenses from my existing UNIFI and install them again on the new machine, or can i just carry over the configuration and ownership settings from my pc to the new Unifi? have four access points scattered both inside and outside—specifically an XG16 10gbit 150watt 16-port and two 8-port ones. it would be great if i could maintain a simple setup.

Ubiquiti makes it easy because you don’t need licenses to use their products... Unless you meant something different. If that’s the case, please adjust the UniFi Controller settings in both your old and new configurations before using the Site Export Wizard. When you launch the new controller on the UDM-Pro, reattach your devices and everything should function properly.
