Hello everyone, I'm facing some problems with my Asus TUF Gaming X670E Plus Wi-Fi motherboard. It seems like the issue might be related to the board itself. I'm currently running Windows 23H2 with BIOS 3014, but after a recent update it went back to BIOS 2613. After upgrading my PC, I connected it with a 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 T-Force Delta RGB, Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 360, MSI RTX 4080 Ventus OC, and Corsair RM750e 2023. Initially, I tried flashing back to BIOS 3014, but the light stayed on for a bit before turning off. When I restarted, it posted into BIOS again. I enabled EXPO, installed Windows, updated drivers, and ran Armoury Crate Everything. Everything looked normal at first—system info, clocks, speeds, temperatures were all okay. After launching Steam and downloading games, the PC froze completely except my side monitor. It would turn back on after a while, but the main monitor stayed frozen. I manually shut it down a few times, and now it's been several days. Once I gave it more time, it started working fine under load—games ran smoothly without crashes or freezes. My display is set to power off after 5 minutes, and it doesn’t enter sleep mode just for that. It seems the issue only happens when I left the PC open for a short period. I’ve also tried reverting back to an older BIOS, but the problem persists. Anyone else experiencing this? Do you have any advice or solutions?
It wouldn't crash at startup if the PSU was the issue. You've tested many games and seen stability, even with different components. The 4080 drawing less power than the 3080 suggests it might be handling the load better under those conditions.
