Hello, I just completed assembling my new PC and when I powered it on I noticed two post LEDs (CPU and DRAM). I planned to turn it off and fix it myself, but every time I press or hold the power button it doesn’t shut down. I’d appreciate any assistance you can provide while the system is still running.
The DRAM is fully inserted and the BIOS confirms compatibility with the Ryzen 5 5600X across all BIOS updates on the NZXT site. It might be better to stop the PC first before proceeding further.
I figured it out because it seemed polished and, according to what I found, it should work with your CPU right away.
Once you take out the CMOS battery and let it sit for a while before putting it back, both POST lights remain active.
I need to verify the power cables for the CPU on the left side of the board are securely connected. I'm assuming they're in place, just confirming before moving on. If you can't flash the BIOS onto the board, you might face more challenging troubleshooting steps. Completely remove the Dram module and install a single stick. Then apply one of my preferred techniques to check the cooler's mounting pressure. Lay the system flat, remove the cooler screws so you can handle it, and hold the CPU heatsink steady while turning it on. If it boots, the issue is likely the tightness; adjust gently but carefully. If it still doesn't work, inspect the CPU and socket for damage. If pins are intact and the socket appears undamaged, reinstall carefully. If everything fails, consider returning the board or seeking further help.
